I loved his work with Holdsworth though. Matt, do you have a particular approach when playing swing with the electric bass? It seems that only a few guys like Swallow really accomplish that Zactly, Matthew agreed I guess I had a couple of strange encounters with him and that seriously turned me off to hids personality don't know about Joe, but definitely about the broadness and vastness of art i agree :) well, got to sort those things out sometimes.. :O) yep :) wading through the muck.. I used Logic Audio all the way thourgh except for mixing and mastering Platinum? yes paltinum platinum ive heared a lot of bassists who played for zawinul say at one poitn or another they might have felt a little pressure to live up to jaco. did you ever feel that way at all or did you just realize it was a different thing and this was your time and your "voice"? I definitely felt the pressure but not right away. at first I was still kind of intrigued by this weird personlity of Joe's that I didn't pay attention to that until about a year later hahahahahahha aha lol seems that Joe still wants "Jaco Oriented" playing.... how beautifully delicately, and eloquently put! yeah very Joe kept on sneaking in starnge comments and situations that ultimately made me completely paranoid. I should have been more reactive to his behaviour but I didn't expect him to be that way that is his boxing mentality...lolll HA sneaking in that punch real quick wow sounds.....man... exactly...sounds funny but that's kind of it. :O)) JOE is an odd bird lol i dont know him so maybe not. great interesting....and very intense man...master he tries to box you mentally and he WANTS a reaction out of you.
